Preamble
In a country where 90% of all children in the 6-14 age group go to a public school, any meaningful effort to improve the educational standards of the new generation should necessarily start here.

On the whole, there has been little change in the state of India's schooling system over the past decades. Though there have been a few interesting ideas that have been experimented with to help improve the standards in niche segments, none of them - however well intended - can make up for the poor condition of the government school system and should not be viewed as a substitute for government-funded schools

Sikshana's Mission
- Improve learning levels in the Public education
system, with quantitative targets and time
  schedules.

- Adopt modern teaching techniques and aids.

- Work in collaboration with the Government and
  from within the system.

- That any meaningful effort needs to be from within
the system, using its strengths and overcoming
  its weaknesses.
Sikshana Aims at:
- Improvement of learning levels in the Public
  education system, with quantitative targets
  and time schedules.
