Scholarships

The Sikshana Scholarship programme provides Rs 1200 per year for 3 years of high school for the toppers from Sikshana primary schools. This programme has helped more than 1000 students and has proved itself to be a highly motivational activity.

The cost of funding a child is Rs 3750 for 3yrs, of which Rs 3600 goes to the child and the remaining 150 is spent by Sikshana for follow up activities which include counseling parents, tracking the performance of children in all three years of high school and providing counseling where required. This scholarship program is going on since 2006 and is currently covering 299 children from the 2008-09 academic year, 297 children from the 2009-10 academic and 364 children from the 2010-11 academic year.
