How our Model Works
- The school staff are first exposed to TQM concepts and are then empowered financially.
- Teachers are given the necessary tools to motivate children.
- Sikshana staff will mentor school staff and children for a period of 3 years, the first two of which call for intense engagement.
- The third year calls for increasing community participation in school activities. This includes local funding and mentoring.
- During the 4th and 5th years, the disengagement process happens with the stake holders taking increasing control of the school programmes.
- At the end of 5 years, activities of Sikshana, including mentoring, will be taken over by the stakeholders. Sikshana’s involvement, if any, will be nominal thereafter.
